NOTES: Butterfly bushes are later to leaf out than most plants, depending on the winter it may not be until May before they start leafing out. If you're concerned after overwintering them, scratch the bark of the plant. If it's green, it's healthy and alive, if it's brown, scratch until you find green and trim accordingly.
